Here we have for sale a superb pottery Slipware King Charles Spaniel, possibly Scottish, sat on a detailed pedestal/cushion base.
Pressed from a simple two-part mould and hand-finished, the body with applied dabs of white slip and the pedestal base stained with manganese, and a lead glaze-over, finely crazed.
A scarce and delightful piece of Slipware Pottery Folk Art that will grace any space it occupies. Just a wonderful thing.
