Fishleys of Fremington Baking Bowl, North Devon, England, Mid-To-Late 19th C.

Description

Here we have a wonderful large oval baking bowl by the Fishleys, decorated in a wet sgraffito technique, skilled decoration applied with three thin flexible whale bone prongs joined together side-by-side. With superb markings to the outside of the bowl from the flames in the kiln, rare in this size and condition.
