A traditional lidded crock, possibly from the Scottish Border region for everyday use, vegetables or bread. With ornamental sliptrail double bands for decoration. A wonderful piece of traditional 19th century country pottery.

Condition
In very good condition. Lid appears to be slightly different colour, made for the pot but fired in a different part of the kiln, minor wear commensurate with age and use.
