Here we have for sale a rare and superb pottery Slipware King Charles Spaniel sat on a detailed pedestal/cushion base. Naïvely modelled originally in coarse earthenware clay, and then hand-pressed from a simple mould, the body with applied dabs of white slip and the pedestal base stained with manganese and a finely crazed lead glaze-over.
A charming and delightful piece of Slipware Pottery Folk Art that will grace any space it occupies.
