A highly skilled pair of hands made this rare, large and beautifully proportioned, possibly ceremonial agateware goblet.
Finely crazed glaze and clay components with minimal iron indicate a North Staffordshire attribution.
A superb and striking piece of slipware pottery.

In good condition, minor wear commensurate with age and use, minor shell chip to inside rim professionally restored.
